The partnership results in a unique, complementary service offering for the entire life cycle of a medical product or therapy. It is giant leap forward for QbD and TRIUM: not only does it help them both to continue their growth momentum, it is also a very logical step in the expansion of their service offerings. For TRIUM it will strengthen and broaden the already extensive expertise it has built over the years in medical devices and ATMPs.
The invention of a new therapy or technology is always the start of an extensive product life cycle process before it can go to market. With TRIUM joining the QbD Group, it now has an end-to-end offering throughout the entire ‘from idea to patient’ life cycle.
Quality, safety and effectiveness
TRIUM has grown significantly since its foundation in 2011 and can today proudly claim to be an expert clinical solution provider, especially in the medical device and biotech-ATMP field.
Bart Van Acker, founder and CEO of QbD: “Particularly when it comes to more complex medical devices, ensuring their quality, safety and efficiency is an extremely difficult task. It is also a field in which QbD and TRIUM have both specialised for years. Moreover, European law states that each developed medical device requires thorough clinical testing. Now that TRIUM has joined the QbD Group, we can execute that entire process for clients. TRIUM is also the ideal clinical partner for similar ATMP related (cell therapy & gene therapy) projects, and a very valuable addition to our partnership ecosystem.
QbD and TRIUM work together on a number of client projects. Christof Debèfve, co-founder and responsible for business development at TRIUM: “This means we know what to expect from each other and we’re very glad that this new chapter will allow us to work together much more often and much more closely. In addition to the tremendous complementarity of our services – together, we really are one of a kind in our market – QbD is also the perfect DNA match. Just like us, they have a real ‘yes we can’ mentality while having fun as well.”
Although TRIUM joins the QbD Group, it stays as independent as possible and nothing will change for its team. The TRIUM office for example, will remain. “This partnership is all about a win-win, not only for both parties involved, but even more so for the industry we work in”, Debèfve stresses. “Moreover, teaming up with QbD – the Belgian and soon even the international reference in its field – will provide many project and career opportunities for our team.”
Van Acker: “The same goes for our own people, so I share Christophe’s enthusiasm on all levels. Besides the history we have together, TRIUM is also a renowned player in its niche market. Our international QbD office network will help it grow faster than ever.”
